The year was 2015, Viktoria and Tobias had found each other and then nothing was the same. Anyone who has had the honor of meeting this couple has also heard of a wonderful shift in dialect as the bride comes from Ystad and the groom is a solid Trollhättan-dude, but above all they have got to experience their dynamics as a couple. For as much as they harbor tenderness for each other, they are like day and night regarding the display of emotions. But more on that further down … hehe.
July 4th will always be a date associated with so much warmth, laughter and consideration. It was an incredible honor to see how two families really felt like one from the first moment I got to see them together. But let’s start from the beginning.
Here you will see LOTS of pictures from the whole day when Viktoria and Tobias got married, hugs and no hugs, tears, laughter and one of my favorite places in Trollhättan (Oliden and Kärlekensstig!!).
Do you want an extra atmosphere in everything? Eh yes of course you want. Then click on the link with ”some tunes while you read” above and you will come to my love list. But now, let’s revel in this wedding day – and we’ll start with breakfast!
This opportunity to be part of the breakfast and all the way into the tile is one of the coolest things I know, just to get really close and not just with the bride and groom but everyone present. Then to also have the opportunity to come home to the bride and groom, it gives an external dimension of getting to know them and be able to reflect who they truly are.
The rain was in the air and we updated the weather apps frequently during the morning haha, but you know. Personally, I love the overcast weather and the wonderful light that comes with it. Why? Because just look at all the pictures, they are so soft. The height of glory too – when the bride sneaks close to me and whispers ”I’m going to give them a present, when do you think it’s best?”. Gah so nice to be a guide on a day like this!
But, time ran away while there was small talk and fixing – and drinking mimosas.
All of a sudden it was time for me to visit the gentlemen on the other side of town! Woo!
There a wonderfully nervous bunch with the feelings on the outside of their shirt sleeves were waiting for me. The was all about the laugh and joked about if the ring was lost and such and they toasted vastly – since it was time for Tobias to marry his Victoria!
I was so moved to see the friendship that took place and that the relatives were already mixed at Tobias’ parents, of how both of the bride and groom’s mothers met with eyes moved to tears. Now after some happy moments with the groom and his friends, then I show up at the bride’s again,. Since i left the atmosphere had shifted – but all the more loving of exitment and the love of long lasting friendship where the highs and lows of life are ALWAYS discussed regardless of the circumstance. Damn what it makes me happy just by remembering this day.
Then. The right clothes where on, the hairstyles were dubbelchecked and fourth check that the rings are in the right place – it was time to get moving!
And now, now the waterworks begings! It is now there will be tears for real, because wll, check out Tobias reaction to when he sees and hears Victoria.
In fact, I have so far not come across a groom who is so moved liek Tobias got here, it affected us all and released the excitement completely and created the world’s hug party. Sweeathearts – the whole gang – and such a wonderful mix of Ystad, childhood, Trollhättan, friends and family represented in it. When remembering this day I constantly return to the warm temperature and the wonderful mix that was offered throughout the weekend regarding company, and that no matter who I talked to, it was love that came out of everything they said and the abundant care for Viktoria and Tobias.
Hurra!
Soft Tobias and realistic Viktoria, both so straight forward in what they think but so close to laughter, to mischief and so full of LIFE. Which is not a pun on the fact that their lovely daughter is called Liv (which in swedish has the meaning of Life), but quite honestly about that the bride and groom together radiate such life and complement each other so incredibly well.
After the portraitsession that followed the first look, where I got to see them look at each other with tenderness and take in that it is soon marriage, we returned to the gang. When we all screamed due to that we saw that the famous seal made it all the way to the hydropower plant through all the locks! Incredible!! Do you see the seal in on of the picture below? We then had to toil to get to church. It was finally time to get to the ceremony!! Hurray!
Men vill ni höra något magiskt?
Given that the wedding took place in 2020, the bride and groom were quick to adapt to being able to carry out the wedding with the restrictions that existed then. A live broadcast of the wedding was arranged, a videographer was present and the physical guest list was reducted. But do you want to hear something magical? The fact that the guest list of people present decreased, did not take the edge off the love between the bride and groom. At all. Which it is all about a day like this. A love couple who chooses to marry and exchange rings as a symbol of forever trying to do the best, see the best even in times that are not. Well now I’m moved again.
Gaah! Mäktig kyrka. Mäktigt vacker vigsel. Mäktig port in i kyrkan.
The church in Trollhättan took me by storm! I mean, have you seen the architecture ?! Now I was told that the church will be restored in 2021, so look forward to coming back one day to see it in its glory again. it´s red benches against green carpentry and THE WINDOWS. Gaah! Mighty church. Mighty beautiful wedding. Mighty gate into the church. Imagine that I have been to Trollhättan at least once a year for nine whole years, but this year was the first time I was inside the church. Grateful for Viktoria and Tobias who made me see it with my own eyes. Enough about me, again. Now it’s cheers and sound for the bride and groom to congratulate, time for mingle and then it’s straight to the hotell for drinks and dinner!
When we had the wedding meeting last summer, the bride and groom revealed that they wanted greenery as a common thread, joy and above all that they wanted a fun and relaxed wedding day. Where their guests would thrive and OH MY what we hoped for a golden hour to finish the evening.
With the weather that they got on their wedding day, it was just golden hour that got smoked out from their original plans and hopes, but… there was intstead offered a surprise during the evening. Anyone that can guess what surprise?
Just over a kilometer from the church lies Scandic SWANIA, Trollhättan’s (to my knowledge) largest hotel and it is so beautifully located right by the canal. You may remember the picture from the preparations where we could look at the church from their suite? I love when the day come together like that. Swania is absolutely a perfect place for a wedding if you want space, have both great food and service. Mhhm!
The toast couple had arranged a fun game to start the evening, one where everyone was divided into different teams – to create a picture that they would post on social media. Later in the evening, a winning team would be crowned. The groups went away to talk about some ideas and some (the bride and groom) tucked their picture right away. The mingle also included family photos being taken, photos with friends and some general mischief. Chips were snacked on and everyone was beyond exited to be able to wedge in and chop into the dinner.
High and low. LAUGHTER. Restless legs. Flowing wine. No I do not know where to start by describing how good the food was, the arrangement for all guests regardless of preference in food – deliciously planned with wines. It may be that I enjoyed extra to actually be able to enjoy wine with the food at a wedding due to not being pregnant and that I would not drive a few hours later – but I really think not, by watching how much everyone enjoyed their meal throughout the evening.
The toast couple delivered games, guests gave speeches that made everyones eyes water and their stomachs rumble with laughter. We toasted for the bride and groom and for a blessed future. Time flew by and the evening had reached the fine moment of the first dance. If you who are reading now have not listened to the love list, then you can skip it and just listen to this one to Linnea Henriksson – Ingen annan. Magic quite simply – so now you have saved the song for later huh? Thanks. Now, dance, kisses, sweets and PARTY.
The surprise then, you may be wondering? Well, the groom was responsible for that one! HE DID A RAPSONG about them, their love and about Liv. Such a party booster and perfect transition to starting the dance floor! The time to crown the winner in the photo competition has also arrived and it was a group of so clever guests that won – wish I could share the image here but it was posted on a guests private social media account. The dancefloor was opened and I wow did they go all in to the Las Ketchup. hehe. An advantage of having a smaller crowd present is that you will really get so many pictures of everyone present.
Thank you so much for a thundering day that just flew by, with people inviting eachother in everything (including me) and showing how nice it is that two different families can become one by a couple being in love. Hope you who have looked through this wedding have also been able to feel the warmth and joy that we who were there got to experience. And that you could see that an overcast summer day is at least as beautiful a wedding day as a sunny one, and perhaps a little more appreciated by everyone who wears a suit.
